    Fuel injector pumps

He is just outside Union Grove, WI. Badger Diesel. My truck has ran like a champ using the rebuilt pump and injectors from him. Been about 6 months now.

    Optimizer 6500 or P400 6.5L eng

Couldn't you just do a suspension lift to the truck with a front diff drop bracket to clear the P400? Just a thought. I like your truck btw!

It is time... Enter the age of the Cummins

I just can't bring myself to run a Dodge auto transmission. They can't build a decent auto trans to save their lives... I'm planning to do a performance rebuild on the 4L80E. It'll hold up fine when it's done. I've just always had great luck with the TH400 and the 4L80E. I had a 600hp 496 in my...

It is time... Enter the age of the Cummins

I'd love to run a 5-speed manual, but I think I am going the route of a 4L80E. I'm 6'5" and I was driving my dad's '78 K20 the other day and realized how uncomfortable it is for me to operate a clutch with the available leg room. Still up in the air about it, but I'm leaning back towards auto...

It is time... Enter the age of the Cummins

Easiest is to use a Dodge NV4500 and a NP205 from a 89-91 Dodge Ram. It has the same side drop as the Chevy. If you start mixing and matching, the input/output shaft splines are different. You can make it work, but it is easier to just run all Dodge stuff. And $2400 is a pretty good price for...

It is time... Enter the age of the Cummins

Thanks a lot man! You've already been invaluable to this project. I'll probably hit you up for info when I start this.

It is time... Enter the age of the Cummins

I was planning on doing a 1" Zero-Rate kit all around on the suspension. Do you know of any other crossmembers that are available with more clearance? I'm not worried about the 4.56's, with the 37's and the overdrive trans, I should be able to do 65mph at around 2000rpm. Plus my friend is...

It is time... Enter the age of the Cummins

Several companies make governor spring kits for the 12v to increase it's RPMs. Mine has a 4000rpm spring kit in it. Plus the NV4500 is an overdrive transmission, so I can drive at reasonable RPMs on the highway. As far as hood clearance goes, I'm not worried about it. The mount I have from...

It is time... Enter the age of the Cummins

I've already been in contact with him a while back. I believe he's the one who pointed out that crossmember to me.

It is time... Enter the age of the Cummins

I got it from my buddy who's truck got totaled for $1000. That is what it cost to buy the truck back from the insurance company.

It is time... Enter the age of the Cummins

The 12v Cummins is all mechanical like the 6.2. It weighs 1200lbs roughly and the stock engine can take a ton of power without failure. Mine had a computer hooked to it, but that was to control the electronically controlled 47RE transmission. I've fired the engine up sitting on the cradle before...

4" lift. Avalanche Engineering crossmember/mount. I'll be using a NP205 transfer case from a 89-91 Dodge Ram to get the front driveshaft on the correct side of the vehicle. http://www.avalancheengineering.com/new_products.html

It is time... Enter the age of the Cummins

Just the motor. Truck got totaled last winter and my buddy parted it out. Nothing I wanted off it anyways besides the motor, intercooler, and turbo plumbing.

It is time... Enter the age of the Cummins

The 6.2 is dying in my M1008 and I finally got my hands on a 12-valve 6BT Cummins. As soon as I find a NV4500 for a reasonable price, I am going to start on this project. I'll update this post as much as possible with pics and tips from the install. For a starting point, I got a 1998 P-pumped...

    Transfer case Mount

Napa has the correct one for fairly inexpensive. I just got one the other day. I think it was under $30. Have them look up the mount for a 1984 K30.
