I had that same "knocking" noise on my first M923. See my thread about my first oil change, and you'll see I had a "partially-grenaded" cylinder liner. I sure hope you don't have the same issue on that sweet new engine. I could sometimes hear the knock in mine at idle also, and I didn't hear...

Depends if you bought it from a private party or the .gov... If private, then I'd say just register it as a AMGeneral Van or truck and pay the fee. If it came from the .gov, then you'll have to mail it into Madison and deal with the "Research and Information Unit"... They shouldn't give you...

13th & 14th work better for me. And,,, my Dad should be re-retired and back in town then so we can bring 2 trucks!! As for camping,,, well you know me. I've still got the furnished studio apartment in the back of my 5ton so I can stay anywhere. :wink:

Well, we haven't met yet, but you are the one who told me I missed the best part by not doing my own recovery on the first trailer I bought. Now I've spent most of the last year trying to make up for that! I look forward to discussing this in more detail. Thanks. Wes.
