    M126 Brakes???

Well I went to SA today to pick up my M129A4 with its delivered in 2009 chassis, totally prepared with my air brake cage bolts and to my amazement it had hydraulic brakes, made that simple enough as of course they had bled off long ago and I was in and out of there in a flash, this is fine with...

    404 power steering

Greetings to all, stumbled upon this site by accident, I installed a air assist system from an old truck tractor many years ago on one of my 404s and it worked like a charm, still have it, I also converted it to a 5 cyl. turbo diesel. I was also in the 1995 four wheeler top truck competition...

M939 Series Air Brake Cage Bolts

When you cage the brake chambers all you are doing is removing the park/fail safe operation of the chamber, if you have operating pressure for the system and the the system is otherwise working you would still have "service" brakes, the first picture shows the brakes in the "parking" off and...

    M126 Brakes???

Well it looks like I got one :) I can't remember ever caging a trailer with dual axles, do I need 2 or 4 cage bolts, I seem to remember only one axle having the park/emergency chambers. 15K and no brakes on a S1800 Int, should be fun, I should only have 3-4 stops to make in 125 miles

    M126 Brakes???

I am looking at some trailers (on line) that have M126 chassis under them, I was assuming by their apparent age that they would be air/hydraulic then I noticed the chassis had delivery dates it the high 2000s I can not see any air chambers in the pictures and they look like air/hydraulic but...

    Civilizing the MEP-002A

Well that 002 has been deployed in the field and I don't have covenant access to it, I will try to get some more pictures on my next trip to my sisters but that only happens about once a year, there are 4 separate systems that were "civilized" first is the electrical, removing the reconnection...

    M931 measurement

Great!! Thanks! I am thinking of replacing my 1854 Int with a M931A2, the bed and knuckle crane would fit perfectly on the 931, well it would be about 10" higher but I could live with that, actually I would like to find a M932A2 that would already have a hydraulic pump on the Allison, but the...

404 Unimog Radio Box on a Bobbed M35

Does sound like a cool idea, did you ever get it done, I have several boxes out in my pasture that I have not even looked at in about ten years don't know if any are still good, I do wonder why take the box off of the most capable off road vehicle in the world and stick it on a M35? BTW they are...

    Texas title

Thanks ndt! Many years ago I bought my first 404 Unimog at an auction from a municipality, it had never been titled in the US, it had been imported by a local company and then donated to the city of Seabrook TX Well the girls down at the DMV in Baytown (where I lived at the time) kept asking...

    M931 measurement

Thanks, I don't need an exact measurement, I just need to know if the 121" (assuming 167" wheelbase) is in the ball park or if it is 133" as indicated in the TM diagram (179" wheelbase) is correct. Craig

    Texas title

I am glade I ran across this post, I have heard of people in other states have issues with the M939A2 series trucks because the manufacture, BMY is not listed at the DMV, has anyone titled a BMY in Texas? Thanks

    M931 measurement

Thanks Porky, now I am completely confused, I thought the M931 had a shorter wheelbase than the M923 which is 179" I thought the wheelbase for the M931 was 167" Both of the diagrams you pointed me to say the M931 has a 179" wheelbase In fact I just Binged both and came up with many...
