    Homemade Deuce tow bar system.

I am looking to do similar. Will you sell these kits? I want to move civilian trucks F350-F450 and mini buses with a medium military Tow bar I thought about the axles clamps but not sure if they are right or not. My average Tow is 200-400 miles. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks,

Critical FMTV PM not covered in TMs

    roof mounted cab AC

The original truck that I posted a link to has a 6000 watt inverter. The inverter that Shark Bait installed is 3000 watt inverter. 12v DC to AC I am not following the last few posts maybe some content was edited out.... It seems that my original question has been answered and the reliability...

    roof mounted cab AC

Did you install a battery bank or just use the truck batteries? Thanks

    roof mounted cab AC

I trust that Shark Bait is being honest when he says that he installed a roof top unit that will freeze the cab. I would not install a window unit but I am leaning towards a roof top unit. Most rooftop units are around 13,500 BTU and they will produce way more then enough cooling. I have a...

    roof mounted cab AC

Those window units ACs are able to produce a lot of cooling. Some people hack them to build massive walkin freezers/fridges. I don't think the BTU load in the worse condition is enough to exhaust an average sized window unit, the smallest ones are 5000 BTU. It will likely cycle on an off too...

    roof mounted cab AC

Are they running it off of alternator as a standard load or do they have a battery bank? I am surprised that a 3000 watt inverter can handle it. If you can find the model number of the Coleman unit I will buy the same exact one. TTT Thanks

Dipstick Rerouting or hiding access to FMTV fluids- How did you secure this access ?

I can somewhat understand your concern if you are a doomsday guy but it isn't hard to immobilize one of these trucks. There is so much exposed. Air lines, air tanks, Batteries You are probably more likely to find some diesel fuel missing, I believe the tank even has a drain plug. You could...

    Cranked engine and engine swaps

How many miles did you have on your truck when it happened? I am only at 2000 miles but I need to make sure that everything is good to go. It is crazy that a driveline vibration can crack a block. Thanks

    FMTV High Speed Gears

Has anyone tired running 385/65R 22.5? I can get these all day for decent money barely used. They don't have an extremely aggressive tread but they will work for service roads. The Power Company has large class 6/7 4x4 trucks that have good Highway Speed; I will see what tires they run also. I...
