    need parts for 105

You are quite insightful, sir. I had the idea yesterday of scrapping the bed, not only for the weight, but the restoration time and costs. The rust is through on only one spot, but I know a simple flat bed as a starting point will be more versatile. The other things you mentioned (leaf...

    M105A2 Trailer Bed

Those are great ideas, and the weight guess-timation is much appreciated. I'll put all of those in my bag of trucks - I mean tricks.

    need parts for 105

KaiserM109 - now that we are on the subject... What are your intentions with the trailers you mentioned? I have some ideas of using mine for a unique desert camping trailer, complete with pop-up enclosure. I'm doing my best to keep it simple and relatively lightweight, yet arrive at a design...

    M105A2 Trailer Bed

Does anyone know - or can you tell me where to look for - the weight of the cargo bed on the M105A2? If I needed to remove it, what would I be looking at as far as weight and equipment needed? Thanks in advance!

    need parts for 105

I may be creating an abomination as far as some folks are concerned, but I bought this trailer to have some fun with it. Part of the fun means making modifications which will obliterate the use of some of the stock military parts. Just wait till you see what I've created!!! I'll be glad...

    need parts for 105

If you are refering to the cable which supplies power from the vehicle to the trailer, I have this assembly on an M105A2 that I recently purchased. I will not be using it, as I have no intentions of keeping up the 24 volt system. I'll be converting everything to 12volts. If you still need the...

Congrats on the new M105. Please include some pix with the new paint. How many trees ya figure it'll hold?

    M105A2 Wheel/ Hub Conversion

Thanks, a couple more great suggestions. I'll be towing it with a '95 Ford F150 w/ upgraded towing package. Only short distances (50 miles or less) and relatively straight and level. The main reason for changing the wheels will be replacement costs and ease of maintenance. I can work around...

    M105A2 Wheel/ Hub Conversion

Thanks! That's probably the simplest way, all things considered. I'll look into it.

    M105A2 Wheel/ Hub Conversion

Apologies in advance if someone has already covered this, but I'm not having any luck with my searches... :?: How difficult is a hub conversion on an M105 trailer so that civilian wheels and tires can be run on it? Also, what all is entailed? If this has already been discussed, a link would...

    My M105A2 on Craigslist

Are you referring to the parking brakes? No problem. I'll have pictures of them up in a day or two.

    My M105A2 on Craigslist

NOTHING would give me greater pleasure than a road trip right about now. And, since I grew up in the Tidewater area, I'd have things to do once I got back to Ol' Virginny! However, let me know if you're out this way. I'll make you a sweet deal! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
