HMMWV's for sale, no longer maybe, it happened

I guess that makes my Turbo/Overdrive body off restorations worth more than I'm selling them for. And they come with titles!!! We just completed a m998-body off-new engine (6.2) all new stuff, I was planning to sell it for $35k, now I'm rethinking it, should be worth $45k now! Blair~

    More Duramax HMMWV videos. Enjoy!

Nope, runs great! I need to get those BFGs off there and some old MTs on, I could do one of those burn till it pops kind of thing with old MTs. I do need a better camera and camera man  All the geared hubs and drive-line are 12,000 stuff. --all new. I'm thinking the first thing to...

    More Duramax HMMWV videos. Enjoy!

We were talking about light frontal armor, half doors etc. We're not to that point yet. If you have any contacts for "ballistic fiberglass" please pm me.

    More Duramax HMMWV videos. Enjoy!

Not to avoid your question, but I'm not sure. I have more than it's worth in it! Considering time and trial and error, no telling. Most prototypes are like that. Now, what would I sell it for? Probably won't until I find out wether or not my contract goes through.

    More Duramax HMMWV videos. Enjoy!

XHD T case is a 3500 Chevy, 2 or 4 wheel drive. Not sure about the used vehicle post. We are trying to see what the weak points are. SOCOM is looking at buying a few units, this is part of the shake down. I'm not about to build something that could see real duty and not "real world" test...

    Duramax HMMWV playin' 2wd fun!

No, I can get sets of Alpha hubs, not a problem. It's a long story, there's been a few campaigns on them. Lot's of issues. The straight cut ones are bulletproof-tried and true. The light kit was a "special" 10-30 volt kit. Notice they're black plastic. I'll get more pictures soon. This...

    Duramax HMMWV playin' 2wd fun!

Don't like the helical gears of the Alpha, just good old 1151 stuff. Big halfshafts/splines top gear etc. x-hd transfer case out of a 3500, all 07 stuff. LBZ motor PPE programming. Yes, it's lifted 2 inches and the hood an additional inch. As far as speed, I've done 120 in it, gets kind of...

    Duramax HMMWV playin' 2wd fun!

It started as a fun project, then SOCOM got curious. Anyway, this is part of the "shakedown" trying to see what breaks. All 12,100 stuff, brakes, halfshafts etc. LBZ motor, 6 speed allison, xhd t-case etc. goodguyzy, I thought you were saying it makes you sick that I did that to a Humvee...

    Duramax HMMWV playin' 2wd fun!

Finally getting out and playing with my Dmax Humvee. The off road shakedown starts! Lot's of fun! The sound on the video was messed up, so I put a little music to it, hope it doesn't offend. Blair

Jan. '10 ed. of Diesel Power Magazine

Actually, what I'm doing is more in line with the HMMWV design than loading up a 12,000 gvw truck to 15,000 with armor (like they're doing now). The stresses are much less with a 5800lb vehicle and quite a bit of hp. (think rat patrol) All the halfshafts/geared hubs are 12,100 up armored stuff...

XHD t-case from a GM 3500, much stronger than the 242.

Well, I'm planning on it being a test bed for several companies, just to show what could be. More of an "interceptor" truck. Grote military lighting, Davis Technologies active suspension, the list goes on. It will probably make the rounds at the various Govt Supplier conventions. If anyone...

    how to soundproof the humvee

Civilian H1s are much quieter than the HMMWV, talk on cell phones etc. You'll never make a Humvee quiet. The civilian trucks are sound proofed when they're put together. It's cheaper to buy a civilian truck and paint it camo.
