I installed a 24v to 12v converter to a fused marine switch panel with charging ports with a cutoff switch at the battery, and run a light bar and 4 spots on the front and a light bar and 2 spots on the rear. Also run a interior light all on 12 volt side with no issues.

my converter turns on when it senses power, that’s why I went with a cutoff switch. This thing will sit long periods at the ranch without being run so I wanted the ability to shut that leg off. I don’t mind the location I won’t be turning on and off regularly.
Thanks for the reply Cam. I have a60 amp alt. And I didn’t use a schematic just wired it as I went. I am happy with the way I have wired it. But my concern is that I hooked the negative from the converter to the negative on the rear battery and I have seen some people wire this to the positive...

Hey guys new to the forum and looking for some help. Have a 6.2 w/ 60a alternator. Can I swap out with 100a or 200a alternator so I can use the 12 volt side?
