I only repainted her last week and didn’t find anything on the bumpers, only yellow paint on the hood with a IS AIR FORCE stencil under the hood with various anti freeze markings, I’m going to remove the hood and see if I can clean the underside a bit and see what appears
Awesome, thanks buddy,
Love she’s a 69 lol
Would the hood number be 4L37769 as the vin number is the only one between the two listed?
I bet there’s no way of knowing where she served during her lifetime in the services
Is there a way anyone can trace their hood numbers via the numbers stamped on the chassis under the front fender?
my 1958 M35A2 came with a hood number and I’d like to know if it’s the original number to the truck or one that was just put on randomly by previous owners,
thanks
the winch cable cover has become a bit of a talking point as many have asked if I’d sell it, it came with the truck so I have no idea where it came from,
I believe the lights were fitted as it served in Germany and has to have them fitted by law,
I’ve never used my winch but would like to try...
With one bar to bend & fit on the passenger side, I have fitted the bars & mirrors so far!
So again, many thanks for your help in this, now I can actually see down the side of the truck 😁👍🏻
I have the squeeze lever type handbrake, is there somewhere in particular that stocks the cable for these and / or is it worth swapping handbrake lever types?
Thanks guys,
I have a battery pack pressure washer that’s pretty good at lifting the top coat of paint,
I’m using Carc as I wasnt sure at the time I could get a good match to it so got a gallon of green, brown and black,
I’m not doing Vietnam colours but a more modern period,
Hi all
At the beginning of next month I have the massive task of repainting my M35, a previous owner covered her in olive drab paint without sanding the older paint first, I’ve started removing the top coat of paint where it’s flaked off and can see no sign of prep work previous, could I sand...
I found this thread last night and wanted to say thank you for explaining the process of removing the radiator and showing pics, with that I managed to get my rad out today for repairs in a very short time, I bet the time putting it back will be a lot longer knowing my luck 🤣
Anyway, thanks for...
Thankyou,
I have been looking but to no avail here in the UK,
I have some original bars but not all, I have some galvanised tubing which is almost the same diameter and a friend who can make the bars the right length and shape with the measurements I now have thankfully, I shall post photos once...
Thank you!!
you are a gentleman and an absolute star!!
now I can crack on making the bars for my truck and for a friend,
Many thanks again,
wishing you a very merry Christmas and great new Year!
