    I can't help with your answer about 12v but I have added cameras, FM radio, lights, etc and was able to find them that all run 24v

    The allen on the outside of the hub is just a plug. That bolt should not have come with it. Here are a couple videos showing the inside of the hub.

    I don't have my laptop with me so I don't know what version I have but I doubt you need a 2020 version to access a 2003 truck. Also, you will need a password generator to reflash.
