Great listing of other BRDM's(y) Nice to see that there are more in the US than I thought. With more in country, maybe I can start to find a few of my desperately needed parts for the missile system and vehicle. BTW... last year I bought 7 sagger missiles from Bowman Co. in Florida... COOL...
The tires are relatively easy to get (although expensive). The problem with the BRDM is the same with almost all armored vehicles that owners want to make daily drivers. Bad visibility, underpowered, and difficult to manouver around town. For single person operation my Ferret is about the...
That's good to hear. Have you had them look for specialized parts, or just the stuff they have advertised? (I'm asking because I need some specific BRDM parts)
At 5'5" you'll be fine. I'm 6'6" and it's just about impossible for me to operate the clutch and brake on mine. Other than that it's ok. Visibility in anything armored is usually less than desirable and best done with a spotter, but the BRDM is better than some.
Could be a problem with the magneto internal timing. Magneto to engine timing can be set perfectly but if the magneto internal timing is off it will only run with the booster.
The control to the right of the steering wheel is the firing and guidance control for the Sagger missiles. Joystick in center, firing button on lower left, missile selector on lower right.
Congrats on the purchase.......Love the pix. Yours looks in better condition than mine. You'll have loads of fun with it, especially when you take it to the McDonalds drive through. Earl Tucker is good to do business with, lots of knowledge and some parts (that's where I got my new set of...
Just got the same garbage myself........I was going to say I hear the sound of war drums this November but I'm mistaken.....they're just drum circles. "Take a bath hippie"!!!
I would think that you should probably avoid anything synthetic. Use only mineral oils, or petroleum based lubricants (should keep the seals from drying out). Also Stretch44875 is correct.......run it regularly.
I'm sure everybody's seen this vid, but I don't recognise the V100. Where, and who's?
Vid is from FPSRussia titled "50cal machine gun VS. 250 watermellons".
I posted a link here earlier but upon second look I don't think it is a "family video" so.... I'll let you look it up.
BTW vid's funny as he!!
