Two Batteries Instead of Four - Issues?

Boy you need to be careful with the ether. I've seen some real carnage when too much is used. As far as heat I always liked the waffle iron magnetic heaters. Super simple and you can't beat the ease of install. I used them all the time in the material handling equipment world. Mark

Two Batteries Instead of Four - Issues?

Just use large batteries with high CCA ratings. Mark

HMMWV vibration and noise when braking.

CV boots okay? Is there oil in the portals? The hub nut for the axle tight? Are the bolts on the inner mounting flange of the axle tight? I would start with the above. Mark

    Turn Signal Issue

You could get the LED bulbs with the anti hyperflash which has a resistor build in unlike those awful looking inline resistors. Mine had the same odd one flasher light not working. I remember a funny story that some northern city wanted to save energy cost. They had a brilliant idea to...

    Turn Signal Issue

Put the incandescents back in the front Lights. Had this same issue. The flasher unit had problems with so little resistance. Mark https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/h1-tail-light-buckets-on-hmmwv.217583/#post-2546086

Are these led units or 1156 led bulbs in place of the incandescents?

    M998 Bumper paint suggestions

Rustoleum matte black (satin black). Very durable and easy touch ups. If you have the Air Lift bumper will need a good etching primer and metal prep to get the paint to stick properly. Recurring problem for me but as I said easy touch ups. Mark

    NY Humvee Insurance in NY

I found Hagerty had the best deal and have had them for a year. Stay away with anything to do with Geico. Last year they attempted to double my premium for nothing on my part. My cars are now with Progressive. Mark

    4 man Soft Top suppliers

One thing I have is a nos 4 man green artic top and rear curtain with the two oval plexiglass potholes. I paid very little for them years ago and am amazed at what they are going for now and have become unicorns. Mark

    6.5NA HMMWV 3L80 to 4L80e

I run 62 mph on the highway with my three speed and that's fine with me. I'm sure not in that much of a hurry anymore to need more speed. If mine gives up the ghost I would definitely go with a built 700R4 and won't have to deal with electronics. I've had a number of vechicles with the 700R4s...

    4 man Soft Top suppliers

I should have purchased a spare green one from Benton before the shuttered. They were selling them for $350.00. Dumb move on my part. Mark

    Hawker Batteries

IMHO selling them locally due to the crazy cost of shipping the most I would ask for is between $200 - $250 per and see if they move and if not readjust the price. They are great batteries and my last set of Hawkers lasted 10 years. You are still selling used batteries so you have to be...
