Newest addition to our fleet -1975 mowag Roland

getting off topic (bad me) , the son of an acquaintance decided to move their TD18 less than a mile to a job without tying down, on dry deck.. Came out of a stop-sign intersection apparently too sharp and witnesses say he was accelerating and shifting coming out of there .. dozer landed on its...

Newest addition to our fleet -1975 mowag Roland

In regards to ramp-type trailer loading, this is what we in my business have found to work best over 40 years loading hundreds of items 1: The above is why we should load backwards whenever the equipment and trailer allows.. That way, one can see over the hood just fine to safely/easily...

Where are the "breather holes" that need to be blocked when you turbo a 250?

really good to hear .. I have some turbos from a 230, a 290 and larger 855's sitting around, and a M809-series custom turbo hump hood just waiting for something to go on to .. Know enough to know we can't turn the NHC250 up too much without having piston coolers, was wondering if there was...

I know you mean to say the 3- 4 jump cuz I know you know the subject matter quite well .. Unless you are talking about the 4-5 jump in the 6352 direct-5th, which was a bit hard on gasser 5-tons ;)

Spicer auxiliary box in my M820

don't ya just love the dreaded 3rd-4th hole? .. With the stock tranny/xfer, you might know you already have a few splits in there to break up the 3rd-4th Hi hole, they being within the sequence of 2nd Lo, 3rd Lo, 4th Lo, 5th Lo, 4th Hi , 5th Hi and vice versa for downshift with a double-clutch...

    Rear axle seal leak

When we did axle seals on 5-tons up to a decade ago, double-lip seals were available, some even shared the same part number as the singles which is odd. On occasion we were told by suppliers that some triple-lips (flange) had been located at certain warehouses thus we got those too.. I...

    Rear axle seal leak

hate it when that happens !!! .. what also can happen is if one pushes in on the impact, sometimes the square hole in the dual-purpose socket engages with the inner stud , the result is the same ... I found out the hard way, more than once the same morning,, until I figured out what was going...
