    M1061a1 restoration

Started sanding the shelter for paint. Cut 2-2x4s and used the pre-existing holes along each side of the shelter. 5-1/2" holes. Used stainless steel hardware. Primed and painted the 2x4s. Now shelter is supported so it can't shift left or right.

    M1061a1 restoration

I got the eyelifts bolted down and got some 5ft long 3/8" steel cables to some 1/2"- 6 inch long turn buckles. All 4 tightened down. I'm going to add some pressure treated 2x4s and have them bolted down on either side to keep any side to side shifting from happening. Next is to start the...

    My m925a1 build "Brutus"

Got the sound bar mounted up. Used 2 deck screws with washers on each side through the fiberglass reinforcements. Painted the 2x6 marine corps forest green this morning. Mounted sound bar. The power cable doesn't allow me to have it face directly out where the brackets are so its facing...

    My m925a1 build "Brutus"

Mounting up a sound bar. Didn't want to drill holes through the fiberglass hardtop. Decided to use a 2x6 wood board. It fits snuggly between the fiberglass reinforcements on back of cab. Used gorilla max constructive adhesive. The board had to be hammered into position. Plan is to drill 2...

    M1061a1 restoration

I was trying to figure out a way to secure the shelter and decided to use some eyelift points with steel cables. I centered the shelter on the trailer and then drilled a 3/4" hole for the eyelift. Centered it on both sides. I'm going to use 1/2 turn buckles. It will require 5ft-3/8"...

    M1061a1 restoration

I bought a s-250g to fit on the m1061a1. I wanted the larger version of the shelter for camping. Came with a fridge, electric and ac. Shelter is in fantastic shape. I decided to mount the shelter approx 2ft back from the front edge of the deck. I wanted some extra storage space for...

    Fuel Return Line Pressure?

I would highly recommend not putting pressure to the PT pump. They are designed for vacuum not pressure. Warren from premco told me no more than 5psi max to the pt pump if you decide to run a pump. It can destroy the seals and orings and cause failures. I wanted to run a FASS and just had my...

    My m925a1 build "Brutus"

Decided to replace the ditch lights with the trucklight floodlights. They added a decent amount of light up high if needed off road. I moved the old ditch lights to corner of the bed near the market lights. This helps with visibility on the sides of the truck. Turned out well. Will need to...

    My m925a1 build "Brutus"

Got the rest of the rims painted and decided to paint the tow bar semi gloss black. Wanted some contrast up front to break up the green. Turned out nice.

    My m925a1 build "Brutus"

Repainted the wheels flat black. Finished touch up paint on the stack. Also decided to change the towbar color. I painted it semigloss black. Will give more contrast mounted to the bumper. I also got a good deal on some trucklite military led flood lights so im going to run those for ditch...

    My m925a1 build "Brutus"

Spoke with Warren at premco about running a Fass. My buddy runs one on his m925a1 and I was considering it. Warren stated he would not run one. If you choose to run a lift pump he said 5-8psi max. The pump is designed to pull vacuum not take pressure and the PT Pump can be over pressured...

    My m925a1 build "Brutus"

Decided to paint exhaust stack. Scuffed with sandpaper and cleaned with xylene. Used high temp primer. I tried to tape off as much as I could. Once it dried I applied high temp flat black. Rated for 2000F. Should hold up. Gotta fix overspray. I also got this reflective heat blanket...

An easier way to turbo an M800 truck

Have you thought of drilling and taping #6 cylinder to get the most accurate temps? That's what I did on my setup.
