Yes the two ends that melted were both bolt on universal. I had been planning to swap they were just small. I'm going to replace the whole cable the truck not really hacked up wanting to keep it that way. I wish you luck on yours.

I think as long as I have this 1009 I want backup starter and alternator. These are the only things I can't just go pick up at local NAPA or Junk yard. I traded an old Jeep for it because diesel.

I'm gonna start looking for a repair rebuild shop in Oklahoma City and Wichita Falls so I can get alternator and starter rebuilds done.

I found a solenoid to replace the bad one. I want to ask if I should use new starter bolts when I put starter back on?

Is the solenoid something NAPA carries? I got a NAPA and a John Deere close everything else is hour drive from me.

Ok so I finally got some time and disconnected solenoid and when I went to connect batteries it started turning over the engine. I guess it's the starter then. I looked up a repair shop in Lawton it didn't get good reviews or try and find a new one.
