    "Eagle Diesel", what is it?

Audi has actually partnered with a company called Joule to research manufacturing carbon neutral diesel and ethanol. Apparently at a pilot lab in Texas they are able to produce 8,000 gallons per acre per year, which is significantly better than other means of manufacturing biofuels. The kicker...

    M715 style new Jeep concept

I believe they call it the JK-12, and it's actually based of a MOPAR pickup conversion for the Wrangler Unlimited called the JK-8. The front clip was probably borrowed from last years NUKIZER 715 (New Kaiser) concept. The NUKIZER was based on Jeep's J8 military platform and used an American...

    Big Rock Moving thru SoCal

I don't know exactly what model it is or any technical specifications, but here's a good picture of the big Kenworth at the front. Edit: Here's a link to the Flikr account of the gentleman that took the pictures --> http://www.flickr.com/photos/93762593@N00/6807262346/in/photostream/

    M-1009 emblem

If it helps, I uploaded the original high quality .png file to mediafire. My original intent was to let people play with the colors if they wanted, so I left borders between the colors. The trace that you did doesn't look bad at all! Here is the link--> CUCV Badge.png

    M-1009 emblem

I don't have the ability to make these, but if someone wanted to use the design I wouldn't have a problem with it. Ideally, I'd like to get some of the GM badges and measure them so that it would truly look like a factory badge. That's going for maximum accuracy though. wkbrdngsnw's looks good...

    M-1009 emblem

I didn't use any font, I just "freehanded it" in paint. I used other 80s Chevrolet pickup badges for reference. Fortunately GM had so many trim levels on their pickup trucks most of the letters were already there.

    M-1009 emblem

I attempted to make a CUCV badge in paint based on the same font as the badges GM used on it's civilian trucks. I always pictured something like this on the trucks.

    Bio Diesel.....?

Diesel engines were actually never meant to run on peanut oil, although it's a common myth. 6. Diesel Did Not Design His Engine To Run on Vegetable Oil The belief that Diesel designed his engine to run on vegetable oil makes us feel warm and fuzzy, but it's not true according to Lyle Cummins...

Another day another brake petal on the floor

Don't most monster trucks run pinion brakes? Monster trucks may not go as fast as these trucks but i'd imagine they have more gear reduction which means the brakes are probably spinning at least as fast and they seem to hold up ok. I also believe HMMWVs use inboard brakes and although not quite...

4l80e in m1009 pros and cons

The electronic version of the 700r4 is the 4L60E. There is also a slightly beefier version called the 4L65E, although there aren't many differences between the two.

    Nashville TN

Somebody probably turned the key to the "start" position while the engine was running. The gear on the starter ground on the flywheel while it was spinning and sheared some of the teeth off. This is pretty rare because, from what I understand, the gear on the starter is usually made of a...

Thanks, I think it's safe to say it's probably not military.

    Duramax in a m35a2

I don't know if you guys have seen this or not but the guy in this video managed to put mechanical injection on the Duramax engine in this tractor. It looks like a lot of fabrication but it might make a swap more feasible if you're willing to put the effort or money into it. I'd imagine it...
