(Solved) M939 (M934) NHC-250 855 Starts, dies, sits, then eventually runs fine?

I eventually replaced the main feed hydraulic hose from the fuel pump to the fuel filter. The old line looked perfectly fine to me. After replacing, the problem persisted. By dumb luck, I noticed the adapter fitting between the pump and hose was a swivel type. It was just barely loose. I...

    Choosing Between M923A1 and M923A2

Was reading that possibly the Navy Seabees got it. But I haven't found anyone who's scored one of their trucks. I'm noticing the USMC without ABS also doesn't have the Haldex dryer. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing for the rest of the system. It's obviously one less thing to maintain though.

    M925 Filter cross reference

And for the winch/dump truck hydraulic filter, it's a canister style. Napa FIL 1467

    Choosing Between M923A1 and M923A2

That's right. I couldn't remember how the ABS upgrade factored into that story. Funny enough my USMC truck doesn't have ABS. I'm wondering if I should be scared or not. Guess I'll try the cable lube on the other trucks. Got a preferred lube?

    Choosing Between M923A1 and M923A2

How does your torque coverter unlock feel when slowing down? I've read that their unwillingness to unlock was a huge problem in the military, killing lots of soldiers. Not sure if any MWO's addressed that or not. But all of our trucks you can absolutely feel the harsh torque converter unlocking...

    Hard Tops vs Soft Top

Why are the hard tops always caved in? Are they just that weak that heavy snow caves them in? Or did the military do something stupid like storing stuff on top of them? Or would soldiers crawl over top of them haha? Every one I've owned has been caved in like bear sat on top of it.

M934 5 ton 6x6 from Fort Bragg to Seattle

Is this the convoy with the Willys that goes across the US, mostly at super slow speeds? Does it go thru Nebraska? My friend was telling me about that one. Sounds like it can get pretty hot!

Have you by chance checked your mpg on the van?

    M934A2 Joins the fleet

@Mustangsud have you been able to check the mpg at all? I'm considering engine-swapping my 934A1

M934 5 ton 6x6 from Fort Bragg to Seattle

No - if you can read plain English, I was asking where you were getting a transfer-case rating of 55mph from. 7 years. 7 days. 7 months. Age of a thread really doesn't have anything to do with anything. That's why we have forums, so we can archive info for people to find in the future.

Still never answered my question. Where does the 55mph t-case restriction come from??? Plenty of guys out there driving 65-70 on these, myself included. Never had a t-case problem.

    My dash plate reads 63mph

Where are you getting that from? The M923A2 has a dash sticker saying 63mph is a safe cruising speed, and all 939's use the same t-case.
