M929A1 Unloader Rebuilding - Is minor or major unloader kit required?

Well I received the minor unloader kit yesterday and installed it. I'm still getting air bleeding back into the intake. The unloader seems to working as it should, nothing bleeding though there. I must have a leak coming from the axles or parking brake valve like you said. I will have to check...

M929A1 Unloader Rebuilding - Is minor or major unloader kit required?

I hooked up shop air at the compressor discharge line and it fills the tanks quickly, so I don't believe it it plugged. I will look into the parking brake valve and axles if the cleaning the unloader valve does not solve the problem.

M929A1 Unloader Rebuilding - Is minor or major unloader kit required?

You were correct, I pulled it part and the minor should be all I need. Valve and seat were gummed up a but it came off pretty easily. Actually wouldn't have even needed the minor kit if I had realized you could pull the valve up through the top cap to clean. Also mine does have an air dryer...

M929A1 Unloader Rebuilding - Is minor or major unloader kit required?

So after a bunch of testing I have determined my unloader valve needs to rebuilt. My truck is really slow to pressure especially at idle. At driving RPMs it builds pressure just fine. Also, when I shutoff the truck I can hear air bleeding back into the air intake. Probably takes about 5 minutes...

Oil drip from Front Axle Switch M939-A2 / 927-A2 Transfer Case Problem SOLVED

I just looked at the "Front Axle Circuit Diagram" on the "M939_P2P" program. According it you must be in neutral to shift the tcase. See attached. 99nouns, Thanks for great writeup. Lots of good info there. I have the same issue on my M929.

M939 transfer case air lines installed wrong

Railroadmike, Finally after almost two years I got around to actually trying to fix the issue again. I had temporary fixed it by running a vent line from the tcase oil fill hole. But yesterday I discovered that the Interlock Air Cylinder seal was leaking which was pressurizing the tcase. The...

M939 transfer case air lines installed wrong

Oil smells a lot like gear lube. What type of oil is in the compressor? Though there was no oil in air tanks when i drained them down. I would think there would be oil there if the compressor was leaking oil. Haven't had time to look into it anymore since I got the truck home. Probably won't...

M939 transfer case air lines installed wrong

So I have a M929A1 that just started leaking gear oil out of the "front axle lock in valve" directly onto my left foot today. I'm guessing there must be a plugged vent line somewhere. Anyone have an idea where I should start looking.
