Did you take pics during the removal and replacement? I have 3 trucks with the old plastic OD steering wheels falling apart. I want to replace them with the newer A2 style also. What style puller did you use? Any info appreciated.

Are you talking a M939 5-ton series truck? That seems to be a M923A1 5-ton with a NHC 250 motor, right?

I've had similar noise out of M936 A1 NHC250. I thought motor was FUBAR. It was a hung up injector from crud in the fuel. Cleared it with diesel fuel tank cleaner, whew!
