    17 inch wheels

Other than having some 17 inch wheels custom made, are there any 17 inch wheels that can be mounted on a H1 that don't stick out more than the stock 16.5 beadlocks?

    Fmtv vs unimog

The 939 trucks do seem to have more leg room. The FMTV's are coming down in price, but are still a lot more than the 939 trucks. The 939 will serve my needs, I would only be buying a FMTV for the additional "cool" factor over the 939... Thanks to all for the information provided, I...

    Fmtv vs unimog

:) Sparkylisle, to be a bit off topic, if you are looking for something a bit smaller and easier to drive and park, look at a Pinzgauer. more road friendly than some of the other FC's. All these trucks can be fun to own and operate, just be prepared for tradeoffs with size, power, speed and...

    Fmtv vs unimog

I've always liked a COE design and I'm curious how the 2 vehicles compare to each other as far as price, reliability, ease of maintenance, and parts availability.

    Detroit 4-53 in a deuce?

I just returned from 5 weeks of doing volunteer work with the Israeli Army and all of the dueces had 4-53 installed instead of multi-fuels. They looked good, and the troops were happy with them.

    Pics from Ft Hood

Re: RE: Pics from Ft Hood Hundreds of M1 tanks were there the last time I visited the base. Actually, Ft. Hood is a Post not a Base. An easy way to remember that is the Army has posts and all other services have bases. That's why the Army has PX's (post exchange). I spent some time on Ft...

    NP203

I swp the NP203 in my 79 powerwagon for a np205and its a easy swp. You can use your crossmember, it lines up perfectly. you need a dodge np205 with a 23 spline input shaft. since your mounting it shaft to shaft you need the np205 coupler. You also need the adapter that connects the np205 to...

    What to expect-buying a deuce-moving cross country

AAA will not provide road-side assistance for a duece, I found out last year at midnight in August of last year , 30 miles south of Iowa City when my Bobbed duece had a flat and my jack wasn't tall enough. Oh yea, your 2.5 ton jack is way to small to use on a duece!

    leaking flame starter

My flame starter is leaking and I want to bypass it until I have a chance to fix it. There are two fuel lines connected to it and I was wondering if one is the supply and one is a return or are they both supply lines??? :lost:
