On the end in the cab. Pull off the cable if possible and tape a funnel around it and fill it with penetrating fluid. Let it seep down into the cable sheath until you see it out the other lower end. Maybe that will loosen it? Like a drip feed IV unit. LOL
Another 1300 mile round trip, this time down to LA to picka part. I was able to find through a fellow 809er an in the can 6453 transmission. This is the same transmission that is stock to my rig, the 5 speed with an overdrive, but this will be one with some synchros that actually work. :)
I...
Remember some guys here may be running different size tires that will change this clearance need. I know with my M813 that running 16.00R20s the bed and tires with no modifications will hit the bed just barely. So I booted my bed up 3" from stock. If you plan on running 395 that may be a...
@Flyboy207
I bought the "M35 kit" for my rig from @fuzzytoaster here in SS. This kit does not "fix" the sprag issues necessarily, it works as following:
When the"Kit" is installed it allows you to cut supply air to the Sprag switching valve on the transmission and importantly, release/exhausts...

If you have any questions shoot me a note.
Just follow this two rule law:

Yup just like that. You just need to ensure the original power steering pressure meets the requirement. This is how I have seen it installed in other rigs. If you are fretting about it and think the steering box will have too much of a drop you will need to run a 2nd pump but from what I see...
First things first. May I thank all the MV owners and the very helpful Admins on Steel Soldiers for making such a cool site where we can all learn and grow our hobby and Keep each other strong and in touch.
OK... now for the fun stuff!
Legit going up against two Sweeeeetly maintained MVs. My...
Preparing to fix a clutch issue and will be swapping the transmission at the same time. Anyone have some pointers on what to watch out for or what you recommend to definitely replace when doing this?
I was thinking to replace the clutch disc, and the throw-out bearing on the carriage thing, the...
The Technical Manual section of SS has all those wiring diagrams. I have found most everything in there. Troubleshooting stuff for odd stuff like this clutch... not so much but lots of details on wiring etc... you should be able to find it in the TM section.
@5ton-Ulysses How exactly did the throw out bearing fail? Just curious.
Nice info... was looking though the TM's for a solution to my clutch no longer disengaging and found a reference on this thread for that rotochamber....which my rig does not have but, this may be the same problem I am...
