long time member some time poster . nice to see the site still going strong .
i got a m1102 trailer that was just a frame with a plate on the deck and fenders . i was planning to pop a pickup dump insert on it for a home made dump trailer on the cheep . it is a 8lug on 37" h1 rims / tires unit...
but how many people can put all that together and make it work ?
for a nice super kit the usshift i think has it covered .
your kit for the diy guy that can do it prob has it covered .
the usshift unit is a real nice setup for plug and play . the quick 4 unit gives you 4 pre saved shift programs and shift on the fly for changing them .
also as another member mentioned if you have a old quick 1 unit you can send it in and for a small fee it will be updated to the quick 4...
i dont hang here much but a member over on ck5.com just found this out on his m-1008 pickup . . .
please post for all to see if it has NOT already been done so .
edit : someone showed me this here . . . . aua...
i have been driving a drop pitman arm on the steering box for years now and no real problems .
as said good mod is the offroad design bolt in steering box brace kit .
stephen from offroad design posted this up over on ck5.com
he has been doing square body gm trucks for years and knows his stuff .
long read short = slight drop from pitman arm @ box down to steering arm @ axle / knuckle end ...
x2 on B&W massive quality and they stand behind there products . i have installed a lot of there turn over hitch setups .
not so impressed with the level of fit / finish and overall quality anymore with the other brands listed above .
i have a remote filter kit on the hot out line before entering the rad cooler . the top is drilled / tapped for 1/8 pipe sender spot . i did this to see how hot i am working my trans before the fluid gets averaged out in the pan and its to late . .. thats my thinking .
looking for idea's on how to do a clean install of the lic plate on the back of the m1009 blazer but with all the stock pintal hitch and other stuff .
thanks for any pics or help you can provide . [thumbzup]
what fluid is in the nv4500 trans ? this can have a huge effect on the way they shift / feel . do NOT use reg old oil in them . they need the special stuff for them .
