Looking at picking up an old jeep but don't know what they are worth and what to look for. I'm already doing the research but would like to ask for help here. I'm looking at a 46 CJ2A, converted to look like a 44 MB. It has a new grill, new tires, fully rebuilt engine, and partially rebuilt...

5k on average isn't too bad then add taxes and transport also add for the ... lockers, ISO bed, pto/hydraulics, hard top, canvas, +/-1400 tires, fording kit and a few other things Also the fluids/filters all changed, trans flushed and Dex 3 added. I think 9k is fair

I was hoping for 9 to 10k depending if someone wanted the winch. I didn't think you could find a Marine truck that easy. I put it on CL and will consider trades for ATVs NFA items etc... Though that was a fair price

For those that don't know what a marine truck is? or what a standard M923? I figure most people don't know the difference or the difference in capabilities.

So, what do you think is the value? And even if the marked is "flooded" I haven't seen many with the marine upgrades. But I could be wrong. I haven't been looking.

I don't mind potential problems that I may come across and welcome advice. I just want correct advice. It seems like there are already MV that are registered in MI and I asked my MSP contact/friend that said it wont be a problem.

My friend has a 5 ton up in MI and never heard of that. He has been driving it around for years in parades and on/off road. It's insured in MI also. It will be there soon and I will be driving it around.
