I think it is normal since the push pull cable will only activate the valve a 1/4 turn. Some have a "stop" detent built into the valve, but most do not.
No Trans light. Good news. I will get to the TCM shortly, after I replace the fuse in my multimeter. Word for the wise, be careful which measurement range you chose before measuring... The fuse in the meter WILL blow
Hi all.
I've had the 1999 M1123 for just about a year now, and in the past two months the batteries have been drained (more likely the battery that is connected to the TCM). In about 10 days the voltage drops below 11.5 V. I have been able to let the truck sit for up to 5 weeks without any...
I’m certain most of us are running civilian truck/SUV/car pressures. We should keep in mind that these are designed for military applications, they have beadlocks or runflats for a reason.
A good example of a lesson learned is my trike vs the motorcycles we ride. The wife and I each ride 1400...
Just out of curiosity, what tire pressures are you running? When I got my M1123 last June, I originally ran 40 PSI in all four, and could have sworn fillings in my teeth fell out on the road, couldn't even imagine off roading.
After some research and finally Mogman pointing out that the TM...
Have you Ohm checked and voltage checked your throttle position sensor? If that doesn’t read correctly, it may not understand to shift into 4th and TCC. That was part of my problem anyway…
Best of luck, don’t throw the new TCM in until you have a definitive answer, IMHO.

In my case I had codes 22, 37 and 85. The first two were fixed by adjusting the TPS. After cleaning the connector with contact cleaner the 85 also went away. Make sure you use some di electric grease around the plug after cleaning, ANY fluid could cause a number of issues.
The...

In my case I also bought from Melton Industries, they came in a zip lock baggie. They are 3/8" and ohmed pretty consistent. So far they have worked now for 7 months, pretty flawless, minus a 3 week period when it started hard and filled the garage with white smoke, pretty much anytime under 30...
Reviving this older thread to see if anyone has formed any sort of group in the northern Black Hills. Although my wife and I have lived here since 2001, I had my M1123 just about for 10 months, been trailriding around the Piedmont and Deadwood area. Wouldn't mind getting together with other...
It is always good to be aware, especially if you had an exhaust leak, you could be pumping carbon monoxide and dioxide into the cab. If you find yourself getting headaches or getting tired without obvious reasons, remember this and other openings. Usually not a problem since the cabs aren't that...
Or just put a 3/8" on it. It will not fit the china knock offs. But I've heard of reliable china-coms as well.... Just my guess the ones you put in are not US made, so not Wellmanns either.
One sure way to find out if the are China-com stuff is if they are 10mm vs 3/8". US made are always 3/8", never 10mm. Not saying all 3/8" are the real deal, but 10mm never are. What size wrench/socket did you use?

Check all the major ground cables, AND the starter cable and ground. Make sure you wiggle any cables or tighten lugs ONLY with the ignition off. A sudden reconnection may fry components and most likely will create arcs and sparks...
The trans light should stay on if the engine is not running...
