    MOV Varistor Specs

Got it. With a 2011 with 6.5 hours, if that is relevant at all to the question, can I go ahead and run the unit to change the oil? Or should I be patient and just wait for the veristor? It sounds like these are extremely inexpensive and you sell them in a kit, with the fuse and holder, but...

    MOV Varistor Specs

I would like to find out what the specs are for the MOV (Varistor) used in an MEP 802a. I want to order one but want to make sure what I order has the correct specs. I looked at the tier 1 reset information and I see the fuse holder and fuse but not the MOV. I have a 2011 and the fuse holder...

MEP 802a Injection Pump no output

I appreciate the response. We got the one injector cleaned up and pulled the second one and it moved freely. We went ahead and soaked it overnight just to get the varnish deposits off of it and put it all back together last night. It fired right up so now we are getting ready to load bank it...

MEP 802a Injection Pump no output

When we took the injector out the whole Injector Stud came out vs the nut coming off. That made me nervous but it is what it is. Does anyone know the torque spec on putting it back in? I do not see that anywhere in the TM, as I don't think your supposed to take it out. Should we use red...

MEP 802a Injection Pump no output

No. I am almost 100% sure the document he shared, which I need as well, is the exploded view of the injector not the injection pump. From my memory I have it back together right but, as the video the guy you linked to posted on you tube showed, they sort of "spring" apart when you open them...

MEP 802a Injection Pump no output

Does the assembly order in the photo appear correct? After soaking a day the pump piston appears released, moves up and down, and the fuel lever moves freely. Or at least seams to.

MEP 802a Injection Pump no output

This is the injector diagram correct? I am looking for the pump diagram if one exists. I will look through the linked pages as well. Good news is the pump freed up so on to reassemble it but I want to make sure I put it back correctly.

Are the shims metal or plastic?

Did you use regular Berrymans or the Pro version?

MEP 802a Injection Pump no output

Some post say they can be soaked assembled in the can? Any thoughts on that One way or the other? If you have them out taking the top off and pulling out the spring, washer etc seems logical but if that is not needed why risk it.

MEP 802a Injection Pump no output

I have, as so many have had, a low hour mep 802a that will not start likely due to stuck injection pump. My question is whether there are any items I have missed prior to removing and cleaning the pumps. I have emptied and cleaned the tank. Installed new drain and draw straw fittings. Fuels...

MEP 802a Fuel Drain not draining

Thank you! I want to be as thorough as is reasonable and would prefer not to take the radiator out if I do not need to do so. I did see the well nut issue, thank you for mentioning it, and that was on my list from a "while I am at it" standpoint. I took the line for the drain apart up to...

MEP 802a Fuel Drain not draining

You mentioned using acetone in another thread and that it would eat the float. Is acetone a good option to clean the tank if I remove the float and pickup?

MEP 802a Fuel Drain not draining

We got the old fuel out. It looks like the diesel turned to a sludgy-sticky consistency in the bottom like molasses. If you have any cleaning ideas I would love to hear them. Otherwise is using clean diesel and maybe a cleaner to dissolve it.
