    Inquiry on "rating"

makes sense as far as the axle shaft difference. Also the addition of the (what I always called) overload springs. Thanks for the reply.

    Inquiry on "rating"

I am new to these M880 series Dodges. I absolutely love the one I recently found and bought (rust free 1976 M882). I do know that these are basically civilian W200 Power Wagons. I also understand that they have the exact Dana 44 front, Dana 60 rear that the civilian W200 use. However, the...

    US Air Force lettering

I am in East Texas. Couple hours south of Tyler. When I was in, I never really looked or cared enough to notice the period, or lack of. But since I have thought I seen images with and without. But, not sure if that was miss marked post service, or? I know when I was in SAC, things were VERY...

    US Air Force lettering

The font I have looks very close, the only issue I see with it, is the dots (U.S.) are square, not round.

    US Air Force lettering

I just ordered a couple gallons of the authentic Stata Blue enamel to paint it. I will probably be shooting it when the weather gets a little cooler. Too hot now, so will be either late summer into fall, or spring (I'm in Texas). Here is my M880 currently. And this is what I will be putting on...

Awesome. When I paint my M880, I will be needing the decals made, so I will be in touch.

    US Air Force lettering

Thanks for the additional info. That will certainly help too. yes, very familiar with how the AF was. I spent years in the Air Force during the cold war. I was in SAC, (Strategic Air Command), and SAC was even MORE anal than the other Air Force commands. I am pretty sure they had a manual...

    US Air Force lettering

Hi guys. I have a 76 M882. I just purchased the authentic U.S. Air Force Strata blue paint to re-paint my truck in Air Force livery. I need info on the lettering on the doors. I know it's yellow, but need to know what "Font" that is. I found several that are close, but not exactly right. Also...

    What branch

Mine is a 76, and was Army. But, I served in the Air Force during those years, and these things were running all over the base. The Security Police ran them, and those were either Olive Drab, or Air Force Strata Blue with yellow stenciled markings. Most of them that ran on the flight line where...

    What is the difference?

Ah.. ok.. Makes sense. Mine has M882 on the data plate, but the 24v generator kit at some point was taken off.

Fair enough. I am just now learning about the truck. I knew right off that it was upgraded to a 4 barrel hence the new intake and carb. But, also just realized it has Magnum heads which is cool. Here are a couple more pictures. I love how clean the undercarriage is on an old truck.

    What is the difference?

What is the difference between an M880, and an M882?

Hi guys.. Been wanting a old Power Wagon for some time. But, just recently picked this up. It is a 1976 M882. Other than the crappy paint job, this thing is really clean and straight. It is virtually rust free. Under the schitty paint, is the original OD green, then a layer of red. I am pretty...
