Well, good old repair manuals are very detailed and helpful. As long time Cadillac cars owner i have Cadillac FSM-s from ´56 to ´98. Thousands of pages, all procedures, part, repair instructions etc etc. After that all probably went online or computers (damn canbus etc).

I did same trick with mirrors. But i used hard plastic sticks - in case if i hit trees with mirror. Plastic breaks easier, no damage to mirror as with hard rivet.
