I don't say much this these days, as some of you that are reading this know, but............when it comes to this topic and what people say for what they want I just have to scratch my head.
Time is the best method to filter WMO, or in my case any oil. I don't care if it's gear, ATF, etc...
Because it fits here.
My humble idea from years ago.

And what it does for cold starts.

Has an Allis 3500. Yes, and the hour meter does show correct time. If you look at the GL video earlier in this thread, it didn't look pretty but I had a feeling about it. I try my best to find the older stuff without electronics.
Well, here's that 645M after I brought it back to life. Didn't take much. A little servicing, a scrub down and fresh paint. Updated a few things and it's good to go. Jump to the 8:30 mark for the wrap up and walk around.

Yep, I can do that. I am bringing it back to life.
FWIW, here's a CASE 1150(though there are D-plates all over, nowhere does it have an M number). Due to hurricane Sandy this was about 10 feet under water for a few days on Breezy Point(just south of Brooklyn). When I pulled the plug on the...
Speaking of a 645M
Just got this off GL for a song and a dance.
EDIT: I forgot they had this one on youtube....a little walk-around.

1961 M202 20 ton crane. Crane Carrier with a Cummins. Quickway with a Continental. Add the lights and new glass to the cab and that's done. Well finish the inner fender on the passenger side and paint it. Then sandblast the crane and shoot it.
They made 110 of these. 12 that were winterized and...
I was asked about it, and I said I would so here's a video. I know the 800 only had the 250, not counting the couple RARE protos with the ceramic engine. However, the 939s have different cummins in them.
For your viewing pleasure, not a sales pitch.

The thread was for an M923 tranny. JTS, I have one M916 that has the 7155 CAT. It's okay I guess. When I get to it it will be changed over like all my other ones to an 18 speed.
Compared to the Allison....you have to shift it just like a standard, only you don't have clutch.
For the NHC250 the NAPA# 4067 spin on oil filter adapter may NOT work. Depending on the year of the engine it MAY use this one. OR it uses one with a deeper dish. Baldwin# OB1368(which you can get at Grainger for $90 +S/H), or the Fleetguard 3300923s are both deep dish. NAPA does NOT have a...
You can leave it on the engine. The way most people use that needed it was to place a good sized magnet right at the hole and carefully file. The way I've done it is a little different. I have a nice course rat tail file on the ready. I turn the plug/element out and insert the file. Give it...
As I said years ago when I first let everyone know they could use this....some water pump housings have a small part of the casting that will touch the element. To find out if you have one of them you put it in and turn it one full turn. If you feel any resistance, or if you want to be sure...
Yeah, for anyone thinking all this is a little fishy...it's for real. They talked to me several times over the last few weeks. I sold the thing to him a few years ago.
What I've wondered about though is why its needed to talk to someone who owned it years ago and lives a couple hundred miles...
