As for removal the only tip I can think of is to go to Harbor Freight and get one of the small furniture dollys for $10. Tip only works on a nice concrete floor though or you'll be cussing me.

I’m doing it on dirt and gravel, but I have a tractor with forks. Going to lower it into a pallet and fish it out with a chain and then just push new trans on pallet under truck.

And I believe that is the way prescribed in the manual. Drop it on pallet laying on the ground and dragging it out with something that do it.
