Parts for 86 D30 M1008

I’m working on a 86 D30 M1008 cucv. Napa offers part listings specifically for D30 ‘s , but the parts I’m looking for aren’t available. I’m looking for a blower motor, and a wiper motor assembly. I don’t understand why these parts would be different from a C,G , or K body. Does anyone know a comparable civilian vehicle that would work ?

Welcome to the forum! It is logical to me that those parts would be the same as for a C or K series GM truck. I am not a CUCV expert, but there are folks here that can give you a definite answer. All CUCVs were 1984 model year specs. K-5 K-10, C-20 C-30 all the same. When ever you order parts, order for a 1984 and you should get the OEM parts

They were Dodges. They rusted back into their natural form.

As a kid in the 90's I remember the diesel truck owners idling their truck at the fuel pump. I asked my parents why they thought they were special.

Maybe the D stood for Diesel?

I really wish my data plate looked that clean. Mine got wiped out by paint stripper…

The D in the VIN does indeed mean diesel. It's there to dictate the emissions schedule the vehicle must comply with.

GOOGLE is your friend. It found all the missing D30s

Chevrolet produced a D30 model truck. The D30 was a 1-ton truck that was part of the Chevy C/K series of trucks. It was produced from 1975 to 1986. The D30 was equipped with a Dana 60 front axle and a GM 14-bolt rear axle2. The D30 was also used as a military vehicle, and was known as the M1008. The M1008 was a 4WD truck that was used by the U.S. military in the mid-1980s. It was based on the Chevy K2500 and was rated at 1 1/4 tons2. The M1008 was powered by a 6.2L diesel engine and had a 3-speed automatic transmission.

The D in the Vin means Military vehicle not diesel.> The 3 in the Vin after the D means 1 ton.> The J in the Vin means 6.2 diesel.

Are you still looking for parts?

When buy parts refer to 1984 k30 chevy 379 cid diesel custom I just bought new windshield wiper motor no delay and in 1985 the change was washer tank had the pump for squirter in the tank. But check grounds out and the washer switch in the steering column goes bad slow wiper or just don't work and grounds go bad.
