Picked up a new tool, need a wiring schematic or someone with one of these to explain where the power for the air compressor originates from.

The one I have has been stripped, I do know there is supposed to be a on/off relay and switch on the left rear door that operates the compressor, but need to know where the big power comes from. The small wiring is still present, large wiring is gone.

I have the manuals so should have the diagrams.
My dad hooked up the compressor up but I believe it runs off the inverter then the inverter is hooked the the batteries.

It will be a least Monday since I don’t have the TMs at home.

That is correct, the compressor is powered by the Dimensions inverter which is powered by the vehicle batteries/alternator.
well i messed up then, I ordered a 24v compressor, but more better for me, less things that go thru the inverter.

@aghumvee when you get a chance, I would love to have a schematic

can you upload the TM’s to this site? If not, send them to me and I can, as well as upload to the FB forums TM section,
thanks

I only have a double sided print of the TM in a 3 ring binder that came in our 2nd secm box. Luckily the mice didnt get to it like they did inside some of the tool foam inserts. I also have the list of issue items and tools that come in the "M1097" box.

No Problem! We really like using our 2 secm boxes on the farm. The inverter is handy to run power tools and the air compressor is alright but just doesn’t have a tank for volume without adding one in. We lucked out that the 2nd box we got last year had half its tools in it along with the inverter, compressor and welders as well as the manuals.

I believe it’s a premier arc welder. It runs off a separate 12V alternator that was only added to the M1097 3 speed humvees. It’s basically the welder people that people building offroad trail rigs would add to do trail fixes with. I’ll have to get some pictures of the alternator and the welder mounted in the box. It doesn’t need the inverter to run since it is its own separate unit.

so, why couldnt you just use jumper cables off of a 200amp alt and a welding rod?

sorry, going down a rabbit hole, post can be deleted
