Hello,
First post here, so I appreciate your patience if this topic has been covered before. I searched threads here and have not found this information. I have a m1078 and am in the process of servicing the rear brake shoes. While I had the brakes caged, I figured I would clean and lubricate all the plungers. Unfortunately, i realized that the plunger seals were all deteriorating and falling apart. The only source for these rubber seals I can find is from midwest military equipment, (blue seals pictured below). They come in a kit that costs over $200 and I dont need any of the other parts in the kit. Does anyone have a source for an equivalent civilian automotive part number or any way to buy just the seals for the wedge brake plungers? Thank you in advance for your help.

Thank you. I was under the impression that these seals were different on the adjuster plunger side and the stationary side of the wedge brake system. Is that correct? If so, which side does that parts link correspond to?

They both (two different seals) have Meritor part numbers.... 🤷‍♂️
Thank you, I wasn't sure if those were compatible when I was doing my research ( Im new to air brake systems) im guessing that the part number e-3995 is for the stationary side of that piston assembly. Do you happen to know what the part number is for the piston that adjusts? Thanks for your assistance.

The P/N shown in the 24P manual(parts 2 and 10 in the diagram) are I believe the meritor P/N. Type them into the searchbar in y0ur browser and it will take you to the merritor website as well as other suppliers

There are only 3 seals made so here is all 3.

Download the Euclid brake parts catalog. It has whole section for wedge brakes. Everything in the wedge stuff is nearly all the same. Was not a whole lot of variations in parts back then as the s cam stuff has. The seals were even color coded back then
