What can you tell me about this brake sensor?

Does anyone know if I can get a brake pressure reading there and what the thread pitch might be. It’s probably a brake pressure sensor but there’s no fluid in the system and it’s reading closed with a meter so it’ll be a lot easier to wire into my harness with a very common normally open sensor. In an ideal world you would say that’s a 1/8” NPT and yes it gets a full pressure reading in that location.IMG_2908.jpeg

When the system is in balance that switch should be open

When you say "in balance" if mine is reading closed does that mean it needs to be adjusted? Also I don't think it flips back and forth every brake push so that can't be my brake light trigger.

Yes that is the brake WARNING light "trigger" if you unplug it and the warning light stays on the parking brake switch is likely closed.
It "flips" because when you step on the brakes the equalizer is moving to try and balance the brakes which probably in need of bleeding at least.
Those brake equalizers do fail at times and must be replaced, normally because it sticks to one side or the other, if it "flips" when you step on the brakes it is likely free.
There is no "adjustment" it will balance when the brakes have been correctly bled unless the equalizer is defective or there is another brake problem

Another thing to note about the equalizer is that cranking open the bleeder screw wide open - max flow - could end up triggering the thing. In other words, when you open the bleeder to wide open, you may experience a lack of flow. That is the goal of the thing. Open the bleeder screws just enough to let air out but not so much that it thinks there is a break in the line. Know what I mean?

Yes, while there was no fluid in there I though I should clean it and put it back together but I think I'll leave it alone. Most of the electrical brake sensors with the arm on them for the pedal require extra wiring because there normally closed so i think I need to find somewhere in the system to put a hydraulic sensor because theyre normally open and all it does is close the connection for the lights to come on.
