Image search item before you buy online if you don't know the people

I was close to ordering some expensive parts from an Instagram site that looked legit. Before i did, i image searched some of his site photos on google image search and i found identical photos from other states and were old images. He did not have an ebay site or facebook. Only instagram. The site has already been taken down, but it was a humvee parts site. Red flags was no ebay or facebook site, and he did not want me to drive to pick up part and pay in person. Wanted to ship part only, and address google earth view did not show anything humvee related given how many parts he had on his site.

I messaged him I was onto his scam and he closed his site and profile. Always do an image search of the item you are interested on google and see if that pic was used elsewhere. I got lucky, he almost got me.
