No, but I'm doing some work on the cab latch finally next week. Got a neighbor who said he'd come watch in case the cab falls on my head (true story). Don't know why that has me so spooked.

My next steps need to be:
cab latch
insulate and panel back wall of cab
install a/c (just the little 24v backwall unit)
install the 24v fan systems that vents hot air from the cab when parked

Then back to locating/isolating a small leak in the hab.
If I can find the leak and address it, I can paint the ceiling and get back on track.

I'm years behind schedule due to my back injury. And every time I pick something up (like a pencil) I flinch that I'm going to pop it back out again. It's that weak at the disc. I just can't afford another 6 months laid up again.

I feel your pain back wise and dont sweat the latch just jack the cab all the way over throw a 4x4 brace/post just for overkill and u will be fine and the big nut on that was pretty tight to break free but you wont have any pressure in it ! I now get spooked thinking if i hadnt got trapped face down where i did and had made it another foot and a half those (post #141) 24 ga steel spoilers i screwed to the back of the cab would have sliced me in half against the box with that down stroke it would have been the end ! I ve got some door edge gasket like on car doors to put on the edge of that metal next time the cab goes up for sure and i wonder if one of those moving van blankets the good ones would help kill that engine mound heat a little ?

Well did you get the o ring kit installed on the cab latch ?

Not yet. Re-ruptured this lower back/disc issue. Not interested in surgery and it takes months to heal up after it blows out.

My buddy told me he'd help me out when he returns from his surf trip to Mex later this month.

I've been eyeballing it, and I honestly think I can do the repair if I lower the spare and crawl between the shelter and cab.
There appears to be enough room in there to manipulate the tools and get the part out for rebuild.
It would let me skip the pumping of oil all over the driveway if so.
And I'm not even certain that the cab will build enough pressure to reach center point.
Bold words for a old guy who can barely stand and walk right now, though...

But it's a bit of a blocker right now as I haven't been able to raise the cab up in almost a year.
It needs to happen asap.

I have all the stuff for the next service ready to change.
I have all the stuff to make the rear wall (so I can install the A/C and heat vent systems).
I have all the stuff for the overhead console.
Then back to paint the box interior so I can re-install all the hab.

It sounds simple when you say it all real fast.

Honestly, if I could stay healthy for three months it would be finished.

On a sad note, my two college-age lesbian tenants are moving out.
A bit depressing.
They were interesting roommates.
Every guy my age should be living that dream.

Starting with the most important topic first ! The girls cant you drop the rent a little to keep them / make every friday naked twister night free drinks and and nuru gel for them and any of their cute girl friends / free suntan lotion application on all sunny days / keep it fun and they will stay !

And as far as the truck goes it will all happen when its supposed to ! My back isnt what it used to be so sitting in like kitchen table chairs make it awful to get up from after being in it for an hour or so and the truck ive been tinkering lightly i seperated all the 6tl and put the noco on repair and desulfated each of them for 3 or 4 days each they seem to be much happier but my house 6d agms have about run their gauntlet i think they are old as hell but worked for all this time and im in no rush to spend 800 bucks each to replace them my bus buddy gave me a good 8d and i can get more from him but they weigh 164 pounds each and i have to get them in the habitat then set them over and under the bed and my back isnt playing that tune at this time i have to get a willing soul to set a couple of them in there for me ! And dont mention serviceing the main engine ive got all the oil filters drain pans but i just cant get motivated to get under there i havnt been driving it but to exercise it for 30 min around town every month or so and i changed the fuel filters 30 min before i parked the cab on my head so other than keeping fresh fuel and howels in the tank nothing much has moved me to start a new project ! See if the girls would like to come stay with uncle chucky in nashville till they just couldnt take any more EXPLORATION in the art of CHUCKYSUTRA ! tell them it will change their lives lol !

I dont want this to seem hateful but if your going to EDIT something someone writes at least give a reason and put your name with it so the writer can talk to them direct on the matter . I know what was taken out of my post and there was nothing rude/hateful/bullying/sexual content/ at best slightly dark humor and in my opinion im not asking for you to agree with my moral platform cause im sure im not concerned with what yours is good or bad cause its not my job nor is it a moderators job to go after things they dont agree with ! If i were in church i wouldnt have these post but im not in chuch !
