mep 802aoverload panel light on

overload panel light on after wash clean up did not water down inside of panel, nothing hooked up, checked for chaffed wires , they were fine,changed panels still have same light on ,wont clear fault ,supposed to take grand kids to our camp tomorrow,any ideas?

If everything appears in order (no motor chugging, no gauges reading way off from where they should be, etc) I would suspect you need to get a can of a good deoxidizing spray (I like Deoxit D5) and you need to hit all the switches, contacts, etc in the machine. It requires taking the roof panel off over the operator cube, and the batteries to be unhooked. Overload is often times a phantom fault due to corrosion.

Thank you for your reply, is there any alternative to the decor, can’t get any till 4/2, but have ordered 2 cans of it, I will try anything that you recommend, you know what I mean grandkids are ready to and pawpaw is to , by the way fuel gauges works perfectly, thank you

Any auto parts store should carrying deoxidizing spray/ electronic contact cleaner. CRC, Permatex, Berryman, etc... all available at an O Reillys. I have just had excellent success with the Deoxit stuff (which Ive only found in stock locally ever at a Guitar Center, of all places).

+1 on DeOxIt over other brands, and I would also second the advice to check guitar or music stores (I've also bought it there in the past), but also electronics parts stores, if you have any in the area.

I would also leave the doors open, weather permitting for the generator to dry out.

The two switches you need to use the Deoxit on are S6 and S8.
You want to spray the Deoxit in ALL the little opening in the switches by EACH terminal.
Here is a picture pointing out just two of the many openings on the switch's.
The left arrow is pointing to one of the exposed switch contacts in the switch. The switch's are not sealed.
After spraying them you want to exercise the switch's by repeatedly moving them through all their positions many times.
I'd suggest re-spraying and re-exercising them again.

ok here the latest, sprayed off brand contact cleaner everywhere,no change, replaced k8, and all is good,so off to camp we go,i am happy , we are all happy ,need to procure another k8 , you never have to many spare parts,thanks to all of you and have a great weekend
