She did just that today. I replaced the transmission push button selector, pushed fluids as needed, and let her warm up slowly. The transmission needed more fluid in the last video so it was a little sluggish. Both rear left tires fragmented on the idle across the motor pool to no ones surprise. 28 years old.. they've served their time.

Overall she sounds healthy and throttle is responsive. All gauges are in operational ranges and CTIS tried to work. It sounds very much like the M35A3 CTIS. There's still a lot to do on her and air leaks to track down. It's just a game of time and patience until she's able to get on the road again if even for a short run.

Was the CTIS made by CM Automotive?
Yes it was. Nice system. It even displays tire pressure when doing the self check.

Bad tires replaced. The other 4 will follow when I have time and it stops raining. The wheel CTIS parts look like M35A3 with some cobbled together bits. Nothing is streamlined, clearly off the shelf concoction. You can't take the rim off the hub without taking several 90 degree elbows off and of course they're in poorly accessible locations.

At least with the M35A3 the air comes through a hollow wheel stud, so there's only one air connection to disconnect to remove a wheel.

That CTIS computer is a little different from the M35A3 one too. Your prototype has load settings on it, that's the most noticeable thing. The A3 also shows tire pressure, which is really system pressure since the sensor is at the power manifold.

I agree, something they carried over to the production MTVR. This control unit cycles through pressure on each tire in unknown order which is cool. The buttons are a bit crunchy to play with it too much at the moment. It does appear fully responsive including the load settings. It seems to want to be at 70 psi default and flashes 47 on a few of the tires. I don't care to inflate them anymore than they are since they're liable to blow.

I made some headway on this MTVR today with the help of my team. We installed a NOS Camo soft top as factory correct. Windshields are out and being replaced. Bed was assembled and has complete sides. I've found it's either a repurposed USMC 5 ton ISO bed or a new bed built with minor changes. The spare tire carrier is missing and I've found photos of a USMC M923 with the same bed for reference. Dimensions are the same and it all matches.. just different.

The cab seats, or what was left of them, were removed to be reupholstered. The driver seat is a M35A3 seat and so are the seat belts. The passenger bench is a modified M939 bench but turned into a storage unit. There's a section of it sealed off which contains the TCM and other harnesses going down into the sub-frame. Overall it's been familiar to work on in unexpected ways.

I need to break down the air system and get new brake knobs and etc ordered. Still 4 tires to get mounted when there's time. It still starts instantly and runs smooth.
