You are looking at a rare government built M915A4R2Freightliner for the US Army. It was built under the M915A4 Glider kit program directed by the Army reserve Command (USARC). It combined the power and simplicity of the Cummins Big Cam 400 with an Allison transmission in a modern truck platform. Less than 6000 of these units were made in total, which most units were later up armored and not ble to be released to the public. These trucks are a perfect combination for over the road (OTR) hauling in a military package, or for transporting your military vehicles.
Engine
The truck has a fully rebuilt mechanical diesel Cummins Big Cam 400 with just over 60K miles on it which is just broke in for these million mile motors. The injection system was rebuilt with 10% over stock, dual fuel lines, fuel rail pressure gauge in the cab.
Transmission
The Allison 4500 SP transmission was approved for unlock by both Freightliner & Allison allowing the truck to use the 6 speed gear/double overdrive. It will cruise at 78 mph all day long with a top speed of 97mph.
Emissions/logs
The truck is emission exempt by DOD exemption and meets Glider kit regulations of 1983 (Engine year). Truck is exempt due to mechanical engine
Hitch/5th wheel plate
Truck has a sliding 5th wheel plate, and is capable of towing both civilian and military trailers. A pintle mount hitch on the rear also allows towing pintle hitch trailers with air or electric brakes. Pollach 7 pin connector added behind the cab and the rear of the truck that is connected to an electric brake controller.
Other features
· Air conditioning
· ABS
· Sliding 5th wheel
· Eaton Vorad proximity sensor
· Inter-axle differential lock
· 200 Amp Alternator & Bradley inverter for 1000W in cab power (115 volt) for tools & accessories
· Engine fan override
· Multiple storage cases
· AM/FM radio with front recording DVR camera, rear camera, navigation through connected apple or android phone.
· Truck has a Arizona title
· Located in Phoenix Arizona
· Fly in and be picked up, and drive it home.
· Electric brake controller added for gooseneck trailers, and pintle trailers with electric brakes
· Air brake set up (factory)
· Cab has been fully insulated with Kilmat and radiation barrier on roof, and cab walls.
· GMRS radio and antenna installed.

Inside of cab roof and rear walls have been completely lined with kilmat & 10mm Radiant barrier for heat & noise reduction allowing the AC to operated more efficiently.

Ready to drive home today. Only needs a little more paint work on the storage boxes in the back, and one rear corner of the cab where the paint peeled off. If I can get a cooler weekend in Phoenix I will be working on that. I also have photos of the installed radiant barrier. If I did not have to pay so much for storage in Phoenix I would be keeping this truck.
