I had one of these years ago . Showed 60 miles or hours on it i forget . Came from city of New Orleans . Old guy with city said it was offloaded from a ship along with few 2.5 tons and they were donated to city so government did not have to transport them . . First thing I would say before you try and cranking it is check the injector rack and make sure it’s not sticking . Mine was sticking and was aged to kill and would try and run away before I sold it . Never got around to cleaning and lubricating rack before sale .

I’m going thru all the injectors and everything before trying to start. Going replace as much as I can with new parts throughout the next few months and clean injectors and anything else that needs it

Most states won’t left tracked vehicles even with pads on their hwys . I went thru this in Louisiana when I was hashing out the bill for ex military vehicles with state omv lawyers .
I understand they won’t let them on highways from what I’ve read I should be able to get it titled and tagged as an antique vehicle still. I don’t mind having to take back roads to get to places makes you appreciate and see more stuff along the way.

They might title it but as off-road vehicle only . But as mentioned every state has different laws . Our state I just found out changed the age for antique from 25-35 years . And the antique plate used to be $25 . Now it’s still $25 if vehicle valued under $10k . Over $10k and they want $1000 for antique tag. So might as well put normal plate on it . It’s way cheaper

A quick search online of Florida laws and as figured that’s a big no to road legal on a tracked vehicle . Basically the states state they done want to repair the damages from tracked vehicles driving on streets . Florida has been hard on even road titling humvees . I fought my state of La with help of my senator and two friends to force the omv to road legal numbers and other military vehicles for road use . We had been able to do this for years but the head omv lady just decided to stop on her own . In the bill we hashed out with their lawyers and my legal advisor the state added and would not remove no tracked vehicles . A wwii half track owner was complaining but they had skirted the system in the past with that machine . My senator had to push the bill thru state capital and get voted on and turned into law

Yea I’ve been reading mixed information on it for Florida. Some says yes it can as long as it’s rubberized tracks and owner could be held reliable if road was damaged.

Interesting as I had not heard anything in the news about this change that started in July. Sounds like a money grab by Jeff. Might want to start a separate thread to let folks in La know as some have antique plates on their mv's as this parts wanted thread will disappear. I wonder if our VIN stencil and military plate are the next $ grabs by our not so friendly state that thinks 10% sales tax is ok for us to pay.

All current plated vehicles I read are grandfathered . New plated military vehicles are supposed to go with their military plates of vin etch which they forgot about lol .
