Hello my water pump is leaking they say Oreilys has it new for 92 dlls Murray temperature pump control part CP5008
Any tips to change if it’s the right one are very welcome thanks a lot

Spend a touch more and get the flow cooler water pump. It's a higher quality and flows more coolant.

Might as well do new belts and hoses while you have it all apart. I just did this with the 6.2 in my M715. Here is a video with the part numbers in the description:

Yes I’m going to use new belts thermostat clean as much I can secure the power steering pump too.

While you have water pump off, perfect time to swap in a new harmonic balancer as well. Cheap insurance for a 6.2 diesel.... * the balancer is a known weak spot.

Be very careful taking the thermostat bolts out. They will snap off in a heart beat. If they don't move right away stop and apply heat...map gas works ok....don't advise a torch unless you know your heats. Take your time taking them out. Tap the holes once you do get them out and grease the heck out of them going back in.
