Hurricane Beryl with Mep 802 and Light tower back up.

You might look into whether there are other AVRs available for that generator head. This was going to be my first attempt to get better regulation. properly sized for the generator head. Also reach out to Marathon, as I did not find much with google searches. Sometimes changing the...

Hurricane Beryl with Mep 802 and Light tower back up.

Clean AC power refers to: AC power that oscillates at a perfect 60 Hz with no noise or distortion in the line (a perfect sine wave)1. Electrical power that is free from spikes and voltage drops (voltage ripple)2. The 802 has a much better out as for 60 Hz and voltage across L1 & L3 (240vac)...

Hurricane Beryl with Mep 802 and Light tower back up.

It has been a while since my last check in. Well, we made through Hurricane Beryl with the minimum of damages all things considered. A lot of houses and infrastructure were damaged or destroyed. 7/8 the power went out at 2:30am. 5:30am flipped the main on the panel and switched to the Magnum...

    MEP-8xx series fuel pump

My short history with the Facet pumps is with the 2-802's and the 1-803. Of the 3 main pumps and the 3 AUX pumps I got one of each to work. I know these pumps are pushing 30 years old. But as with most thing, there are better options. I like the built in pre filter before the main pump to...

    The infamous Well Nut info

Look at the "Ultimate Well Nut" Once and done and solid brass and uses o-rings to seal.

    MEP-8xx series fuel pump

Would like to know if anyone has used this style of pump? Looks like it would be a good candidate for both the main and aux pump. Does state that it will free flow when off, which is a concern in the aux position. Like the fact that it has a visible strainer.

New Potential Owners - Generator Model Numbers ARE Important!

I had those three MEP-803A power plants on my watch list. Holy Smoke that was a steep closing price. People need to settle down and take a breath!!! You buy boats in the winter for the same reason.

After Action Report- Texas Gulf Coast

DieselAddict, I think you caught my mistake. Started the run with a full tank. Put 5 gal in when the gauge read 1/2 tank twice. Put a final 5 gallons in to bring it back to full right before I shut it down when the power returned. So I only went through ~10 gallons of fuel for the 37 hours...
