It just ocurred to me that I just saw a big tulsa winch on a wrecker just pulled in the salvage yard. I dont know if tulsa made any military winches but I could get it cheap. I may look into that.

So the pto would unbolt and a cover would replace it?

If you arent going into business I would recommend Harbor freight tools, they have 3 hydraulic benders for $100 to $300.

That reminds me of the demolition derby cars when I was young. Some guys were caught filling the doors and other panels with lead. Now I bet that hit hard.

I guess that would depend on whether the foam is non porous. In new cars we use foam, but always in sealed plastic bags so they will not hold moisture against the metal. Inside new panel replacements such as your rockers we use a spray wax. Looks like you are on you way to making it look nice ...

I am a heavy equipment (Truck) appraiser. During accident investigations I sometimes have to dispose of the salvage vehicles. Today I called two place, one had scrap at $10 per 100lb. and the other at $11.50, that would take some of the sting out of scrapping one since they weigh nearly 3k lb's.
