So.. .Re: above... Apparently not all 3/8 compression unions are the same... The threads weren't matching up at all, and the nut supplied with the union was loose as #(%& on the factory fitting... So, who needs tolerances? So, didn't get the air line mod done. I was able to bend the front axle...

80* here... which is pretty warm for these parts considering it was 35* just a couple nights ago. Got a bunch of parts laid out... Replacing air drain valves with 1/4 turn ball valves. Replacing fuel pickup tube. Adding a Schrader valve to the fuel cap so I can pressurize/self bleed...

Switch was indeed stuck. I shot it with a ton of contact cleaner and actuated it a bit. Seems to be working properly now. Not ready to take it out on the open road but 10' forward and reverse seems to have no issues. --My filters are starting to show up.. Good lord... I bought a Baldwin...

Replace any wear items now, BEFORE you go out in the field. This includes all fluids, belts, etc. Between oil, trans, transfer case, differentials, belts, etc figure about 1K$ Tie down points aren't the same as tow points. They have limitations. Double check all bumper/frame bolt attachment...

The difference in this case would be $25 per 5 gallon pail... Which, is why I said cost wasn't a factor. That's negligible. :)

I haven't gotten back around to messing with it. Transfer case seems super stiff, even aired down.. so I sprayed all the linkages and am letting it sit. Next step might be to remove the inspection cover and take a peek inside. I'm gonna be testing the switch as well to see if it's stuck in...
