wow, thanks for all the input... I like the fifth wheel mount idea, have seen it before also,,, and that puts the weight on the rear axles of the tow vehicle.... gonna strongly consider that option... if I can find the hardware....
Yes I would hook up the air lines and the light cord.... forgot to mention that... never done it before but I would guess then the brake lights and brakes would all work... ??

Hey I had it towed off the base then had it towed to my house the next day. found a starter and it is on its way to me. I am confindent that this thing will run but got no proof as yet. If you see this post please respond, I want to hear more about your vehicles... and thanks for the help...
having an M923A1 towed about 200 miles.. rear drive shaft removed, front axle off the ground.. with air supplied to the emergency and service glad hands by the towing vehicle and the parking brake on the floor between the seats down/off should the air brake button on the dash be pulled out...

Haven't started my m35a2c for about 6 months.. started it up and it went full throttle.. or seemed like full throttle.... I pulled the engine stop as soon as I could.... this engine did this when I first bought it from G&L and went to bring it home from wright pat... I did something and fixed...
Just bought a 916,, hope it gets me home.... I think they're saying don't lug the engine/tranny and don't overspeed..... engine and tranny...... been a truck driver for awhile and that is a general rule for big diesels..... hope I'm right and got a good one... cause a cat tranny would cost a ton...
