Well, what would you do if it was a company in town? Call the Better Business Bureau. File a complaint. At the very least, the BBB might be able to give you a few hints on just what you can do, if anything.
Is there an avenue for complaint? I have never even looked at an auction, so do not know what's on the web pages. But there has to be some way to complain, and hold someone's feet to the fire. Simply telling you to suck it up and take any old piece of crap they shove under your nose is simply...
Take a day or two to cool off, then make a written complaint. Find out who the head person is, and write him personally, and include everyone in the chain of command. Demand a reply. Be sure to ask them if they would pay for a car, that they didnt order.
It may not even be a new vendor. The military gives the vendor specs for a meter. As long as the meter meets the specs, its good. So just because it looks different, doesn't mean its technically different, only cosmetically different.
