Sort of, but it's no longer mine.
This happened right before I moved to FT Lewis, it was repaired but the adjuster and I did not see eye to eye so certain things were not fixed
(such as the leaf springs)
Anyway I did not feel so confident about a 3000 mile trek with it so I sold it on Fort...
The same logic could be applied to classic cars, really take a 1965 Ford Galaxy 500 and look at how much real steel is that car compared to say a new toyota. As far as bad timing goes anyone else notice this thread is over a year old?
vtwinpilot,
Anyone can tell from this thread that it has more to do with a kid that was drinking and driving, with unservicable tires, than anything remotely used against MV's heck the kid could have hit a F-250 and had the same effect......heck even a tree.... wait I retract the tree...
Thanks, I will let the guys at the shop know. I put both my vehicles in the collision center today since the adjuster came out this morning. This means I will be riding my Harley Davidson Night Rod into work until one of them gets fixed. Man I hope it does not rain hard........" fingers crossed...
updated photos CUCV vs CAR
Here are some daylight photos of the damage:
My damage seems to be minor mostly just the leaf spring, tie rod and some type of arm/joint.
The car might as well be scrap!
I don't believe he has that luxury, and the family only live next door to me. The "kid" moved out to live with his younger brother as he was not getting along with the step-Dad so I don't see a bail out in his future. Perhaps he will consider the military, he needs it. It was hard to shift...
Right, his mom and step-dad were not happy about it. He has no job right now either so I did something I normally do not do I talked to him about joining the military. He is 25 years old and going nowhere (if you know the type). And yes, I considered this also, better to have hit a empty...
Yes, he did at least that is good, and he was not hurt..........really though the kid picked the worst thing on the entire street to run into lol
Did you notice the deflated airbag?
Yeah..... wow though really the kid plowed into a steel truck that has been lifted with 36" tires the only thing worse he driven into would have been a concrete wall ya know?
