Reupholstering a bench seat in Mt M1028

That's nice, did you find replacement dash and door panels or did you just color the existing ones?

Reupholstering a bench seat in Mt M1028

Hello Experts..... I am about to pick up my first MV with an engine (I have a few trailers). It is a 1984 M1028. I have been reading a ton of stuff in here already and look forward to bringing it back to its original condition (maybe a few minor tweaks). It is still in the 24v configuration and...

Did you complete the registration in California? I just bought one and will be trying to register it soon and would love any information that may be helpful from your experience. Thanks

I have a cargo cover for a 5 ton and wonder what it weighs. Just the vinyl cover (no bows). Feels like 60-80 lbs, but I don't have a scale handy to check. Anyone know what they weigh?

    just took in a m101a1

On the wiring harness......I found (since I had a bunch of connectors lying around) it super easy to buy a 7 pin plug, a length of cable, and use the military connectors and just tie right into the military connectors. Probably spent only about 30-40 bucks on everything. If I want the military...

Top 3 plates, on top of bows, m1102

So I finally got around to grabbing the tape measure...From front to back the three pieces are the following.......33", 30", and 29". I didn't measure the spacing on the slats on the bottom. Overall width as you know for all three is 12 inches with a slight camber to follow the shape of the bows.

What did you do to your trailer today.

Today I finalized making the trailer legal in California by adding a license plate night. I have been trying to do as little modification wise to keep the trailer as original as possible. All I have done has been to drill 4 holes (2 for the plate and two to run wiring). I tapped into the rear...

Top 3 plates, on top of bows, m1102

I did basically the same thing you are doing, buying the parts and pieces to make the top. I found bows first and didn't add the three plates until later. They do add to the rigidity of the bows to help hold the shape of the cargo cover, but other than that really aren't needed. I did find that...

    M1102

Hard to tell from your picture what is damaged. If its thread coming out, anyone that repairs cargo covers or makes sails can handle that (or you can try hand sewing yourself, but not fun!) As far as replacement, you can find used and NOS covers all over the web and sometimes on government...
