Seeking Advice on Replacing HH O-Rings in the Truck

I found it easier just to take them completely off. I just made a diagram for myself. I did a drawing of the top of the head and labeled each port with a number that matched each line starting with one at the front of the engine. I’d label each line also but once you do it you’ll quickly...

Seeking Advice on Replacing HH O-Rings in the Truck

She’ll be able to watch the red pointer and let you know which way to turn it. Just remember the head will slip right out when the pointer is where it needs to be. Don’t try to force it. As MikeON said it might be a little forward or back from where the pointer says it should be.

Seeking Advice on Replacing HH O-Rings in the Truck

It’s the short drive shaft between the transmission and transfer case.

Seeking Advice on Replacing HH O-Rings in the Truck

Use a bar in the jack shaft with the truck in neutral with the wheels chocked. Bumping the starter will take you forever to get it lined up. I use a mirror to see inside the side of the window. Yes you do have to remove the cover and fuel shut off to see the red arrow.

    Warning lights

I traced the warning lights not working to one of the wires coming off the starter switch. If I move it around the warning lights start working and the buzzer gets loud but if I move it too much it kills the truck??? Now the lights work but sometimes the truck just clicks in the PCB when I...

    Rims??

We got a lot done on the truck today. Fixed lights, parking brake, flushed brake lines and got the transfer case air shift fixed. We still need to install new brake cylinders bleed the brakes.

    Rims??

That makes complete sense now. This truck originally came from California.

    Deuce Brakes

Thank you. He’s almost home with no more problems. We’ll flush everything out and inspect everything when he gets here.

    Deuce Brakes

I had him back off the brake shoes a bit and let it cool down. Pedal is back to normal. He’s rolling again and will stop every 25-50 miles to reassess. He’s got 225 miles to go. Does anyone know how much a bobbed deuce weighs in case we have to trailer it?

    Deuce Brakes

I have a friend stuck in Pecos Texas with a hard brake pedal and the rear brakes smoking. Any ideas how to do a roadside repair to get him rolling again.

    M35A2 Fuel Related Issues

Yes. You don’t need much pressure. 20-25 pounds. You just need to push the fuel up to the secondary filters. As Cattle said, it would be a good idea to clean the lines out first though. Once you get all of the air out of the lines by priming everything via pressure even a weak lift...

    M35A2 Fuel Related Issues

I was just thinking he was loosing prime between the primary and secondary filters maybe due to a weak lift pump. The air to the tank was to pressure the system and get any air pockets out of the lines. Have soldier B shut off the petcock as soon as you get a steady flow of fuel coming out...

    M35A2 Fuel Related Issues

Open the bleeder to the second set of filters and put some air to the fuel tank. Assuming nothing is clogged you should get fuel coming out of the petcock.

How many out there have received incorrect SF97 Titles? (wrong make, wrong year etc) Did you find a remedy?

Do one of happen to have a phone number or email where I can get ahold of someone to get a new SF-97? Apparently someone can’t tell the difference between a 3 and an 8 so the numbers are wrong on mine.

    M923 Brake Leak

I threaded the exhaust port and saved $150. The brakes are working great now. Thanks for your help Wes.

    M923 Brake Leak

That figures...This one is about 4 times as much. Seems like every project I have always needs special expensive parts.

    M923 Brake Leak

I don’t have a picture right now but the new one is exactly the same except the bottom exhaust port is not threaded. The tee where the two bottom hoses connect will not be able to be attached to the new one.

    M923 Brake Leak

The new Q2 valve is not threaded on the bottom down facing port like my old one. Is there a different way to connect this or did I just get the wrong part?
