    All, Thanks for the help on this, It looks like the tail end of the IP camshaft sheared off and the governor ate itself. I am ordering a new complete IP this week and hope to have it installed before the end of the month.

    The issue is not with the "control unit assembly" Item H on page 3-27 of the TM but with the fuel control rod coming from the governor. It sounds like removing the FDC and cleaning it from above is the correct course of action, just looking for second/additional opinions.

    I have tried everything I can think of to get my truck running and am out of ideas. I have a 1971 M35A2 with a LDT 465 and I believe the issues are governor related. All fuel filters have been exchanged, and air has been bled from the system a couple of times including at the injectors. so...
