    Not sure Andy my gage was not reading and I didn't have my meter to test with just had to shotgun it by changing parts till it worked.

    Okay new black box worked, could the bad alternator have fried the second one or just a coincidence?

    New alternator in and charging but still having problems will try another black box tomorrow.

    Thanks guys think my alternator was bad and messing with me I opened the little cover and the post 566 goes to fell out then I opened the rear and it was a mess! Will try new alternator and report back.

    Why would alternator Wire 566 be unhooked and taped up? I have seen this on several trucks and now i am having an electrical issue and found it has been done on my wrecker.
