Since I installed an LDS in my bobbed deuce I've turned down the main fuel settng and droop screw setting twice. Depending on my next mileage test result I may turn the droop screw down a little more. For the way I use the truck (it's hobby horse) I've got power to spare.
I've wondered if having a muffler quiets the sound of the whistle. I tend to think it doesn't but don't know for sure.
When I ordered the duals for Rosie I ordered mufflers. Sometimes I think about getting a couple of straight pipes and replacing the mufflers just to see what she would sould...
I've never seen it written anywhere --- I just always assumed the needle on the pyro should be bottomed out before shutting down. I don't know what temp that is but on my pyro is way below 300. I've heard 3 min and I've heard 5 min cool down time. I don't really know.
Maybe someone wiser than...
I also have a "C" turbo on my LDS-1A engine. It works fine.
When I got the engine it was equiped with a "D" turbo. After running it for a few weeks I found a "C" and installed it. The "D" has better heat shields and supposedly has a litle more boost but I can't tell the difference. Hey ---...
